Baking Class With The Kitchen Guardian

Assalamualaikum. Hi.

First of all, hope it's not too late wishing you guys selamat menyambut bulan Ramadan Al-Mubarak :)

When I was a kid, I love Syawal since it's the best time for me to get duit raya. Haha. And as we get older, I think the best month would definitely Ramadan. Kita berlumba-lumba nak kerja rahmat/keberkatan from Allah. That's the best part besides berbuka with family.

Anyways, bila nak dekat raya ni projek kuih raya memang laku sangat kan. Kalau kat kedai Yummies di Bangi selalu ja penuh orang. Lepas tu ada yang siap bawak anak-anak kecil. Aku macam, urmmm why not you just leave your kids to your husband at outside for awhile? I mean, dah la crowded dalam kedai tu, lepas tu those kids berlari-lari dalam kedai tu. Tak perlu lah bawak anak-anak kalau pergi kedai yang ramai orang.. Huhu.

Eh, sebenarnya nak cerita lain. Melencong cerita lain pulak. Hehe. Entry for today is about baking class with The Kitchen Guardian.

Yesterday, I went to The Kitchen Guardian's studio to attend the baking class. Well, this is my first time I join baking class. Siapa tu The Kitchen Guardian? Siapa yang minat bakery stuff mesti kenal Kak Yani @ The Kitchen Guardian. Untuk kelas baking ni, kami belajar buat Victoria Sandwich cake, Berries Tart, Swiss Meringue Buttercream and Congo Bars. My current hobby now is baking. I want to find something that I can do, things I'm happy to do. And I loveeee cakes, desserts and pastries. Yummy! :)

Kita tengok gambar lah :D

Di studio The Kitchen Guardian. Wish I can have the KitchenAid mixer. InsyaAllah, soon! Kena cari duit lebih nak beli nih. Huhu.

Antara pelajar yang hadir kelas baking. Ada surirumah, full-time bakers, part-time bakers, full-time working, students.

 This is Kak Yani :)

Kak Yani taught us to do cream cheese for berries tart

This is me :)

Voila! Our berries tart dah siap :)

 Our Victoria Sandwich Cake

Congo Bars. This is the simple recipe ever but it is so delicious! It's so yummy (I ate them after berbuka)

Our cakes semua menjadi :)

Sorry. Blur sikit gambar

Me with Kak Yani @thekitchenguardian

I had so much fun joined Kak Yani's class. She is so friendly and didn't mind to share her tips for the recipes. I have no basic in baking. I usually just watch Youtube and read the blog to find recipes, to find tips, to find reason of why my cake didn't turn out well. Somehow, it's still not enough.

That's why you need to attend baking class. Take that as investment for you, so you will not feel 'kedekut' to pay class fee. Hehe.

Okay, nanti nak try buat. Kena buat terus.. Takut nanti lupa. Huhu. Harap menjadi la kek macam kek Kak Yani.

For those who has passion in baking, go for it. And practice makes perfect! :)

Till then.
